Any clues on what this androgynous style serif might be?

Can't identify it. It feels "bespoke" to me. What's the sample origin?

Its derived from Times, but I agree with Ryuk, probably a custom job. Suggest you check out Stanley as it has a similar temperament...

The sample was sent by a friend, but after doing some digging, I was able find out where it came from. Seems it was a custom type.

Thanks for the feedback. You're right, custom. Font is simply called 'Frederick'. Here's the complete alphabet coming from their website.
